I grew up as a child wanting love and relationship as I grew up in a broken home without Christ and when I met my wife, I became to know and grow closer to Christ to become a better person and to fill and give Love. As we go through life we encounter many type of relationships from Family, Friends Love and most of all God for our relationship with Him became broken by sin and repaired through the blood of Christ.
God loves us even if we haven’t loved Him. God sent His son to die for our sins so that we will come to know and grow closer to him. “For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit.” (1 Peter 3:18) We wonder if we are worthy of such love and yes we are as your past doesn’t equal your future and we can be made a new by Christ.
“In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us.” (1 John 4:10)
God wants us to know him. The Bible says God is at work in everyone’s life.
“So that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us.” (Acts 17:27)
Hebrews 10:24-25 – and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more, as you see the day drawing near.
Proverbs 13:20 – He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.
John 15:13 – Greater love has no one than this that one lay down his life for his friends.
Questions to ask yourself…
1. who do I love and who loves me?
2. What do I want in relations with?
- Family?
- Spouse or Love One?
- Relationships with other Christians
- Friendship
- With God
3. What can I let go of and Give to God so that I can be open to a healthy relationship with others?
